Future Conservationists

Today we would like to highlight Liam Miller, this year’s winner of the Barry’s Grove Fishing Derby. As an avid angler from an eary age, he was able to catch the biggest fish on the day by using a top water skimming frog as bait. His father, Steve Miller, says that Liam has been out in the woods with him on hunting adventures since the early age of 3. He also mentioned that Liam isn’t afraid to travel off the beaten path, often traversing through thick terrain to discover new pools where fish might be found to gather. This year Liam was able to earn his hunting license as a young sportsman, and enjoys the self-reliance of being able to harvest his own wild game.
